The Committee of Queen's and King's International Guadeloupe (Miss Guadeloupe International), responsible of sending young women to international pageants, selected Laurence Optaly for the Miss Earth 2014 pageant. She is 20 years old and stands 174cm in height. She was Miss Goyave 2013 (local pagaeant) and 4th runner-up of Miss Guadeloupe 2013 (for Miss France). Miss Earth 2014, will be the 14th edition of the Miss Earth, Pageant to held on November 29, 2014 in Manila, Philippines.
