Haha, yes! The ladies in my office are all in their 50s and 60s and have no idea about sash factor, etc. They simply pick who they like. One of them didn't even know they had Miss Universe pageant anymore. I am going to show this thread to my Dad tomorrow and report back with his choices.

After having seen a lot of pictures from last night's dinner at The Rusty Pelican (HJ Blog has a very good coverage w a lot of pictures), my number 1 is

SPAIN!

I don't see this "clone-problem" some of you are talking about. To me she looks natural and always in a good mood.

Other great Europeans are France, Slovak Republic, Austria, Netherlands, Serbia, Greece.......

But I think that if MUO are going to crown a European girl it will be RUSSIA. She looks good, and is very MUish. It depends if she speaks English, and her personality.....

Probably Europe will not get the crown anyway. Venezuela looks fab (I love her curvy body and she is much better than Gabriela), USA looks very good and so do a lot of the other latina power houses such as Clombia and Mexico. Asia is weak this year. Some good African girls, but I don't think we see the winner there.

Good pic of Norway. But that dress! It looks too big for her, and the design.....Reminds me of the Norwegian disaster dress of Mariann in 2008.
