I am glad that some of the national directors and contestants are speaking out about their frustrations. I do think Colombia is pretty and did well on stage, but another latina winner, same look, tan, tall, dark hair, nothing new. If there had been different types of beauty winning in the past few years, I would be happier with her win. To coin a phrase from our forum, it's "another boring latina" once again. When I think of the winners of the past few years, the first ones to come to mind are Australia in 04, Canada in 05, Japan in 07, and Angola in 11. The latinas all sort of blur together for me, the exception being Mexico in 2010. Not slamming Colombia by any means, she just doesn't stand out for me.

Del, much like the nurses most of the ladies in my office didn't know where Miss USA was from either. Some of them had her confused with Miss America and asked what her talent was, haha!

I've read that she yelled this right after Miss Jamaica was pronounced 4th ru and then security told her to leave the stage.

i kinda agree! altough we should try something a bit different! maybe a traditional proper ethnic costume from one of the regions of Greece or a costume based in one of the Queens in Greece or even something inspired from the Nymphs or sea creatures from ancient greece etc .

at least Spain is not geographically in South or Central America
