MESSAGE FROM MISS NY USA 2016, SERENA BUCAJ

After 4 years of competing for the title of Miss New York USA my dream finally came true. This is a picture of my previous sashes while competing. Two years as Monroe-Woodbury (I'm missing a sash) and two years as Suffern. First year I placed top 20, second year, 1st runner up, third year, 4th runner up and lastly, my fourth year I took home the crown! The point of this picture is to show everyone that through hard work and dedication you can reach any goal you set your mind to. If you have a dream don't let anyone tell you it's too big! If you have a dream don't ever let the word "NO" put you down! What may seem like failures or set backs at the time are actually stepping stones to prepare you for something big. If I gave up my first year I wouldn't be where I am today. Always work hard and always be kind because one day you'll wake up and realize your dreams are finally your reality.

Serena Bucaj was crowned Miss New York USA 2016 by Miss New York USA 2015, Thatiana Diaz at the conclusion of Miss New York USA pageant, held at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College in Harrison on January 17, 2016. The beauty queen will represent her state at the next edition of Miss USA pageant, where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma.

Actually, with the Albanian roots, she is working as a model at Major Model NYC.
