i dont think it had to do with inteligence...i think she was just more lucky as Myriam was nervous in the end. Imagine being philippino, representing ur country and knowing they are all in the screens watching u ...expecting from u the best.....i would have been terryfied.....

i can imagine that! her miss universe stint in 1999 was the 9th most watched event in the philippines of all time.

Indeed! I've seen her several times. She's very stunning, her bearing commands attention, and her bronze skin is a delight. Very "exotic" for me. On her losing the crown, Mpule was very eloquent in the Q&A which made the difference.
