Yes I saw the interview and its really good that we will have people supporting her both practically and financially towards her preparation for MU as well as expanding her social profile leading up to the finals as Voglis stated. But I just am worried still about the tattoos and whether Voglis is absolutely certain that it wont hamper her chances in the MU competition because he seems pretty adamant it. What do others think?

As someone who has judged pageants, I do not care for tattoos on contestants--male or female. If it is somewhere discreet that can be covered for competition, I am fine with that. However if it is in a very obvious place, I tended to not score them very well. Just a personal preference.

You can see that they are quite obvious but she had them covered the night of the pageant!!

Miss Denmark 2007 has a tattoo as well and she made it into the Top 15 over the super beauty Russia and Greece

Maria was working for the morning show of ANT1, Macedonia TV that broadcasted the pageant is owned by ANT1...so Rolling Eyes

Also she was miss Peloponnisos.And you know how the national org feels about the winners of miss Peloponnisos....Maria Psilou was also one of them silent

I agree her winning is weird...to say the least! She has a prety face...but there were many pretty faces! She had the whorst body, weird catwalk and zero personality...she can barely talk.

I'm sorry but I don't find her that pretty to be honest....she actually looks quite fake to me and I see much more prettier girls than her out there on a daily basis. I didn't get to see the coverage of the Star Hellas pageant but want to know on what criteria the judging was based upon?? She comes across as zero personality and her body isn't all that great so how was she chosen for Miss World of all pageants?? Yes Beauty with a Purpose all right and her purpose will be to go on a nice trip and do some wonderful site-seeing (like what Psilou did)...what a waste when we could have sent a girl with a bit of substance and personality (not to mention intelligence...she struggles to even put three words together). So I ask again..how and why was she chosen to represent our country in MW!! Anyway getting off point..how amazingly stunning is Ioanna looking...saw her on t.v. today and she looked and sounded confident and self assured. Can't wait for the MU arrivals..so excited for the pageant this year (after the disastrous last couple of years)

If you had seen the show you would probably be shocked that this girl was chosen to be an MW contestant! She failed the Q&A round, she looked heavy, her catwalk and stage presence was very poor plus there were at least 4-6 girls that were way better in every aspect and suitable for MW: Pasalari, Strati, Kalogeri and Alexea even Papagianni!!! Choosing her over them is a huge mystery! If I add the fact that Pasalari might was second in public vote (and that was 30% of the overall score)....something is fishy!!!

first of all lets about Miss Greece world elsewhere ... back to Ioanna now... what do u mean that Ioanna won because of the public vote? didnt the judges place her in the top 2-3 from the beginning of the show?

There's something definitely fishy...as I said I didn't watch the coverage but I am still absolutely shocked and mortified that she was chosen...she is simply not a suitable candidate for any pageant let alone for MW. I definitely think there has been some dirty business behind closed doors..I will even go as far as saying that she was given an indication that she would win the Star Hellas title and that's why her close circle of friends and family (and Kristi) were so pissed off and bagging Ioanna....I mean why else would they be so terribly angry and mean...she was given the MW title..you would think they would be happy (its more than what she deserved!!) I think they gave her the MW to appease her because they knew they would receive huge backlash from everyone if they crowned her Star Hellas and not Ioanna. Just thinking of the fact that Ioanna's win came off the back of the public vote is a total disgrace and shows that greek pageantry still has a long way to go to get back some credibility and respect. I shudder at the thought that if it wasn't for the public vote we may have had Maria go to MU....can you even imagine the embarrassment we would have copped!!
