National Final held in the Freedom Hall, Juba

Florence Thompson took over the Miss World South Sudan reign from her predecessor, Arual Cyerdit, on Friday 12th October. First Runner Up, Adut Deng and Second Runner Up, Aliet Chol, will support Florence during her tenure. Miss World South Sudan 2018 won $SSD 50,000 and Runners Up won $SSD 20,000 prize money. Thirteen contestants competed at the national final, broadcasted by the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation.

Florence is a 19 years old, second year medical student from Kator West. She intends to achieve a bachelors and masters degree in orthopedic surgery and can speak Arabic and English. Florence enjoys her community volunteer work, playing basketball and cooking.
