Pageant queen politicians - help!

Hi,

I the fashion editor for a political news website called News Growl (yes, really, we have a weekly fashion column that I write). I've joined the forum to hopefully get some help!

In the last year I've ended up profiling several pageant winners who have turned to politics.

I was wondering if the other members here could suggest any I'm not aware of? Is there a database with a complete listing somewhere? There is a Wikipedia page I've found, but it only lists a few and none of them are recent.

I'd be interested in finding out about any pageant winners (at any level) currently active in politics. Can anyone suggest any we've not profiled so far?

Here are the profiles of beauty queens turned politicians we have done so far:

Mallory Hagan (Miss America 2013)
She ran for Congress in the recent US midterm elections.

Erika Harold (Miss America 2003)
She ran for Illinois Attorney General in the recent elections.

Carolina Flórez González
A former Miss Colombia (World) who ran for Congress in Colombia there earlier this year.

Malene Lausten Hartvigsen A recent Miss Supranational Denmark and current Danish politician.

Please let me know - who should we profile next?

Miss World 2009 - Kaiane Aldorino

In March 2014, Aldorino was appointed deputy to the Mayor of Gibraltar, Adolfo Canepa, as a result of a motion by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, passed by the Parliament.

On 5 April 2017, she became the mayor of the country.

Beautiful Ada A. De La Cruz, 1st runner-up in Miss Universe 2009, was Vice-Mayor of the Capital City of Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic.

Monika ZIDKOVA, Miss Europe 1995 is now a mayor of her birthtown Kravare.

Anyone else? There must be at least one Filipino pageant winner in politics, surely?!

Most of our Beauty Queens turned into a celebrity or married a politician. I am still thinking if someone went into politics

She was Senator in PR from 1981 to 1993

Miss Finland Universe 1991 Tanja Vienonen was a member of Parliament in 1999-2011. She also served as Minister of Culture. In 2003, Tanja engaged with the then Minister of Finance Sauli Niinistö, but the love only lasted until summer 2004. Sauli Niinistö is now our beloved President and Tanja is the third time married and a private person today.
