Darling.. In this picture above Anne is maybe 40 years old. And photoshop wasn't used that much like these days, so a forty-year-old looked like a forty-year-old..

Of all the Finnish beauties, I wouldn´t choose this one as the prettiest but she surely is an unforgettable Miss Universe ! I only hope, Finland returns back on the map someday.

Anne is such an elegant lady and has always been that way. Finland lost her to the world for about five years after her
victory, but she returned home and married her high school sweetheart and they lived happily ever after. She has let nature take it course
and has not ruined herself with surgery. Such a beautiful lady! :flower:

For my friends from Finland here is the crowning moment of Anne Marie Pohtamo, but what I heard here the audience wanted Sweden to win....

ANNE MARIE was so beautiful! And still is -classic beauty and very sophisticated lady. She's mother of 4 children and nowadays she's very religious. 1975 was very good beauty contest year to us finns, because Merja Tammi (Anne's 1st runner-up in Miss Finland) won Miss Young International and Eeva-Leena Mannerberg (Anne's second runner-up) was chosen Miss International's 1st runner-up. Even our representative in Miss World, Leena Vainio entered the semis.

Anne Marie has hosted several beauty contests here in Finland including Miss Scandinavia, Miss Model of the World and Miss Finland. She's Legend and we're very proud of her. I think that everybody here knows, who ANNE MARIE POHTAMO is!?!!

In May 2015 a special exhibition was opened at the National Museum
where all Anne's Miss Finland and Miss Universe wardrope is at display.
