Miss Universe in Puerto Rico....

The MU Pageant has been held on the island 3 times...

1. Dorado, Puerto Rico (1972) Winner- Australia / Kerry Anne Wells



2. Bayamon, Puerto Rico (2001) Winner- Puerto Rico / Denise M. Quinones August



3. San Juan, Puerto Rico (2002) Winner- Russia ( Dethroned ) / Oxana Fedorova

Yes I know, I almost fainted when I heard that Evelina was named the 1st runner-up ( SHE DESERVED THAT CROWN ) , and as for Oxana or Oksana she was a beautiful contestant who deserved to win, but since the begining I was very fond of Justine and do not know why, being one of the major favs. Ruth Ocumarez from Dom. Rep. who did not make the cut.
But 2002 will always have the Oxana/Oksana-Justine memory...

2002! best production for a pageant for me! modern and stylish. the music, the choreography. the fashion walk with voiceovers. the same final question format. the graphics were jaw dropping. i remember that CGI "curtain" that opened before they make their fashion walk.
