According to MyJane.ru the 1st RU Svetlana Stepankovskaya will represent Russia on Miss World 2009.

better than the winner...but i get this LISA KUDROW MATTEL vibe........i wonder who goes to universe????

And another point: I am really not convicted that the MyJane knows a difference between Miss World and Miss Universe. Many times our czech media used the terms wrong. We will see... :-gtwtg--:

yeah, i know what u mean. well i saw a post on Pinoy saying the same (with a russian article for source),but still im not convinced Russians know better. i wish Hermanito was here,but he is a bscent for some time now.

An interesting fact: Svetlana is Miss Krasnodar 2008. Last year a girl from Krasnodar finished as the 1st runner-up to on Miss Russia 2007-2008

Miss Russia 2009, Sofia Rudeva was filmed naked for foreign sites for 50 $. Because of this, she was banned for represent Russia at the ''Miss World 2009"

Russia not have nobody to defend the honor at the Miss World 2009 to be held in December in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Miss Russia 2009, 19-year-old Sofia Rudieva from St. Petersburg was disqualified because on the Internet has discover hers candid photos without underwear. Another schoolgirl said, that she was short naked for the $ 50 for foreigns sites . One pornphotographer was told that a few months ago Rudeva tried in his role. She was denied her due to lack of breast - 88 cm.

The first vice-miss of 25-year-old , Svetlana Stepankovskaya of Krasnodar Territory are also removed from the competition. She took nude for several men's magazines. The Russian Federation will submit the 17-year-old second vice-Miss Ksenia Shipilova from the city Kohma. They say she dont knows speak english and would not be able to answer questions from the jury.

i don know who will they finally select....but i know the flash lights will be on her.........and that she aint gonna take a makor title but probably do good. lets see official statements as u said.
