Hello everyone, it's good to see you again in this new Miss Universe season! First of all many thanks to all of you who are posting regular photo updates, especially @bonner and @Farah Vavaihan. I really appreciate the work you do to bring everything to us in a single place, and above all without drama and biased comments!
I have high hopes for this edition which is full of promising candidates, and after Paula Shugart finally left and Osmel Souza stepped in, I feel things will gradually go back closer to the old-school Miss Universe standards, and farther away from having to repeat the creed of the American "left".
Here are my first impressions based on the photos you have posted so far (other than those with the professional makeup, where all the girls look flawless):
1- The girls who were previously under my radar but I'm starting to take notice of:
Guinea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, North Macedonia, Turkey
2- The ones who looked inconsistent IMO and should avoid a certain styling:
Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, India, Peru, Spain. I will also add Mexico, because while she's impressive I think her mouth looks weird sometimes, so I wonder if she had botox? But at least half of this list is made of top contenders IMO, so I'm sure they will sort things out soon.
3- Those who have looked consistently good so far:
Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Curacao, Finland (a true snow queen), Gibraltar (short, but what a face), Malaysia (a living porcelain doll), Malta (she's glowing despite being the oldest delegate) Nigeria, Romania (probably my sentimental favorite, and reminds me of my sister), Thailand
