The new MUO is looking to positionate the pageant in Europe and Africa. So then, this second year crowned a girl of a country which doesn't have sash weight and this is awesome.

I'm glad to hear this, there are so many deserving Europeans in the past but completly ignored.

Although 5 Europe is kinda a low number to me for a Top 30. At least not only 2 European countries, and they win at the end.  

And finally Russia placing depsite of the global issue is so refreshing. We've seen so many deserving Russians in the past who didn't make the cut.

I agree that 5 Europeans is a bit low on a total of 30, but these were probably the ones who made the most sense: the two standouts everyone was talking about (Denmark, Finland), a full package with a great face (France), a strong performer (Serbia), and Russia who was liked by fans and as a statement that Miss Universe is now cleared of American politics. Romania, Slovakia and Estonia are all beautiful but sadly lost the opportunity to place because of their lack of spark in the preliminaries (and probably not interviewing well). I was also eyeing Montenegro who performed well, Switzerland who is tall and pleasant, and Malta who broke all the norms and was always so radiant, but I guess it's difficult for the MUO to make room for more Europeans at the expense of Latin America and Asia where the biggest fan bases are. In Europe, I think that Belarus and Ukraine can do much better since they have a high proportion of beautiful women, so if they get their act together I'm sure that we can start seeing them in the semifinals again.

Also, most European women are reserved, timid and not aggresive like the Latinas and Asians. Denmark experience in Miss Grand International helped her to be the next Miss Universe. The way she move is very Miss Grand  

I heard from a Filipino vlogger who was in Mexico that Estonia is super beautiful but very shy type. And some European are really shy and afraid of cameras.

I still can't move on for Soraya (Germany) and Virginia (Italy) in 2022 though. They deserve more!

Natasha Pavlovich who placed in 1991 representing Yugoslavia is also Serbian, isn't she? By the way, Sanja Papic was my favorite in 2003, such a sweet, lovable girl
