CONFIRMED: Miss France Pageant Affirms No Longer Holds Miss Universe Organization License

The Miss France has produced international beauty queens, including two Miss Universe titleholders from France: Christiane Martel (1953) and Iris Mittenaere (2016).
In 2025, the Miss France marks the end of an era because they are no longer tasked to crown the next French representative to the Miss Universe pageant starting in 2026.
According to a statement issued by the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) in 2025, the French candidate to the Miss Universe pageant will be selected by a brand-new panel of experts under the Miss Universe France Organization.
Eve Gilles is the last candidate to compete in Miss Universe under Miss France pageant.
