Sunset Boulevard

Has anyone watched Sunset Boulevard from 1950? It stars William Holden and Gloria Swanson. She plays faded 1920s movie star Norma Desmond and attempts a comeback with the help of Holden's character. It is a true classic and I couldn't stop watching it. Norma Desmond is so over the top and mentally unstable....she reminds me of aging pageant girls who can't let go.
I saw this movie on Turner Classics this weekend and I would give it 5 stars!

gloria swanson is in it? right? i havent watched it,but now there is a nice idea. there are many classics i ve skipped..... but i adore some of them like hitscocks "rebecca". ill give it a try for sure.

Yes Gloria Swanson portrays Norma Desmond. I think you would like it. Let me know if you watch it! This is one of those classics that I want to add to my dvd library.

Yes, and I sure Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson) would approve of cocktails on the beach--as long as she was the center of attention! HAHA!!!!
