yup i read the press release for Miss World 2010 in Vietnam! They will build a special resort for the contest and make 202 man made islands for every country in the world with full amenities (shopping mall, country club, etc.). The 1 month long event will start September 2010.

I hope your source of pageant dates isn't Pageant Almanac. They have been wrong plenty of times. It's a very inaccurate schedule.

nope, not pageant almanac. pageant dates are accurate as confirmed by national ministers. some dates are not 100% confirmed as noted.

Are these the preliminaries for Miss Universe or every grand slam pageant? Because I see Miss Liberia and Cook Islands, are they joining Miss Universe in 2009?

not 100%.those are pageants that used to sent contestants.it is not confirmed if they will sent girls this year.still in any case we mention them.
