This is what I found on Critical Beauty and I share the opinion:
"I saw the delayed telecast of the pageant via E! Channel and just like in the past five or six years, the production was a veritable schnoozefest, not to mention that the pageant - which took place in Sanya for the fifth time since 2003 - lacked any sense of true competition during the televised show. It is already an established fact among pageant fans that MWO executive director Julia Morley, who also presides in the judging panel, is the one who decides on the winner. Mills was not on most of everyone's favorite list. In my Facebook, I commented that Mills won for any of these reasons: first, Morley wants to heavily promote Miss World in the U.S. Second, Morley must have already found a good U.S. group or individual who will produce a national pageant and that they will use Mills to further promote Miss World in the U.S. The U.S. franchise has changed hands many times, and Morley is desperate to find the right entity to be able to promote her pageant in the U.S. market. Or third, Morley simple fell in love with Mills even though this girl did not have a defined "Beauty With A Purpose" project. It is still a mystery as to how Mills was selected to be the U.S. representative. No one knows who sent her. We know that she's a signed model with Elite/Miami, but this does not prove that Elite/Miami is the U.S. franchise holder. Mills was also not crowned nationally - so this betrays the notion that Morley only prefers to crown a woman who was actually crowned in a national pageant. With Mills as the new American beauty royalty, the U.S. media will swarm to her like flies and pay lesser attention - or even abandon - the current Miss USA Rima Fakih who did not even place in Miss Universe."

What aslo come in my mind is that Morley wants to be the next USA president and this is one of the preparation how to beat Donald Trump in the White House battle

Now seriously: I only hope that Julia will be able to hand over control of the Miss World Pageant to someone else soon or we will see many many bizzare winners for the next years.

Actually I like Kaiane very much because of her natural beauty and smile. I know many prefer Perla over her, but not me! That´s why I will respect any winner, because we all have the only own opinion on beauty and it´s not objective at all.

She looked very pretty and it was nice for USA to win...but here as well as in some other forums, some people apparently don't think that she's deserving and another candidate was out because of political reasons (Norway). That's kind of a far-fetched thoery. Miss Norway is definitely not the first heavy favorite to place lower than expected.

Very true, China and USA have very strained relations. I also agree about Slovakia. Always stunning girls from this country and no placements or winners.

As for Alexandria, she made the news here and there were actually people in my office talking about her win. They were confused and thought she was Miss Universe, so I had to explain the difference between the 2 pageants. At least people sort of knew about her and were very happy that she won. I wonder if her win will signal an actual Miss USA World pageant? I volunteer to be the license holder, haha!

Well not in all... in 2006 Slovakia made it on Miss Earth But they just place once in all the grand slams exept in Miss World as well... they should made the cut in 2004, 2008 and this year enougth.

Romina Andonova, the Bulgarian contestant at the global beauty pageant Miss World 2010, has announced she had known that Alexandria Mills would be the winner.

"I knew who the winner would be beforehand. I think the other girls also knew that the American Alexandria Mills would win," said Andonova.

Her announcement was published on her personal profile on Facebook, the Bulgarian daily Trud reports.

Andonova has stated that Miss World was anything but a beauty pageant for her. She said there were many beautiful girls among the contestants.

"I do not want to say anything about Miss USA, I do not know her personally, but I has not made any [good] impression to me. And the audience was shouting another contestant's name. You can make your own conclusions," the Bulgarian said.

She has added that no one had greeted the winner. In her words, her victory was rumored for several weeks and the other contestant had ignored Mills for a week before the pageant's final.
