Miss Finland 2010 Viivi Pumpanen will crown her successor on Saturday, March 5th in Helsinki

Miss Finland 2011 casting was held at the end of January
25 girls were selected as semifinalists
These 25 semifinalist will travel to Helsinki tomorrow, February 15th to go through preliminary judging.

THE 10 FINALISTS FOR MISS FINLAND 2011 WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE MEDIA ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17th

I'm also travelling to Helsinki tomorrow and will inform you all about the events

I'm only going to see them on Saturday, but based on photos and videos only, I actually think Anni Uusivirta would be our best bet for MU. Tall (178 cm), very interesting face (Scarlett Johansson, anyone ?), has been working as a flight attendant abroad since leaving school, so she's bound to speak perfect English too.

That said, I feel Finns are going to vote for Ennileena Siitonen, Sara Sieppi and Niina Lavonen (looks like a cross between Virpi Miettinen, a 1965 MU runner-up and Vanessa Forsman, Miss Finland 1999). Or maybe Linnea Aaltonen (who has improved a lot since MW2007, I think that if she had been in the shape she now is she might have placed) or Pia Pakarinen, who are little bit on the short side, since they both definitely have the faces.

Linnea, Sara, Niina and Pia is my choice for the day.

She looks the way Finns expect their Miss Finland to look. Nice smile, cute, very reassuring. The candidates will be also given a lot more airtime this year than previously. People in Finland would prefer someone they perceive as friendly and unassuming, maybe even shy, to stronger characters.

After viewing videos of the candidates I must say I most support Niina Lavonen No. 7 for victory as Miss Finland 2011.

ANNI UUSIVIRTA
This girl has IT. You know.... IT!!! THE X FACTOR!!! 178cm, she's a stand out. It would be a shame not to send this girl to Miss Universe. She's the only on that could make it through the semifinals. She's got charisma, she's got intteligence. She just has it ALL!!! But unfortunately I think she's got too much personality for finns to vote this girl to victory. And it makes me so sad. Youd had to see her. She just STANDS OUT in every single way. She walks to the room and all eyes are on her. She's not just this cute, prettyface, she's got style and poise and charisma.

NINA MIKKONEN
Don't anybody be surprised if this girl get's a runner up tiara. She's smart, sophisticated and all the things that judges's like. And since judge's will choose the runner up's then.....

LINNEA AALTONEN
She's so small... I know that so was Viivi Pumpanen, but this girl is so thing also. SO SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAL. She just doesn't have IT, that thing that would make her stand out. She's cute and pretty, but is that enoughs for you all? I like her, but she's not some who would do well in Miss Universe. She was already at Miss Earth and Miss World, so she's got experience but

SARA SIEPPI
I see some of you like her... She's pretty, but SO SHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! I would be afraid to send her to Miss Universe. I would worry for her. How could she make it on her own? She' needs more experience and courage

NIINA LAVONEN
She also stands out. In some pictures really good, some a bit weird....
