Miss Bahamas 2011 - Meet the Contestants

The 2011 Miss Bahamas pageant season is upon us, and this year’s competition is shaping up to be one of the best ever. The Miss Bahamas Organization officially unveiled its 15 contestants via the world wide web this evening with exquisite photos, bios and video interviews of the ladies vying for the Miss World Bahamas and Miss Bahamas Universe titles. This year’s pageant is being held under the theme “All That Jazz”, which the contestants beautifully portrayed during a photo shoot at the exclusive Old Fort Bay Club. Members of the public will get to meet the ladies face to face during their official presentation and sash ceremony at the Elizabeth on Bay Marketplace and Marina on Tuesday March 29, beginning at 7 p.m. Patrons attending that event will also be among the first to view the season premiere of this year’s Miss Bahamas Backstage Pass Reality TV show, the first episode of which airs on ZNS on Friday April 1 at 8:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, you can begin to support your favorite contestants by casting votes at the Miss Bahamas website. The contestant receiving the highest number of votes will automatically advance to the semi finals of the competition as The People’s Choice fast track winner. The pageant finale is slated for May 1. Tickets are now on sale at www.caribtickets.com and will soon be available at outlets throughout New Providence as well as Grand Bahama and Abaco islands.

Nice batch of contestants. Im glad Anastagia Pierre is back. Even though we have seen her many times before in pageantry, its great that she keeps on persevering...hopefully this year will be hers. I also really like Tomacina. She's very pretty and seems to be tall. Hopefully Bahamas will once again crown a deserving winner and this time, Im hoping the Bahamas will finally place at MU.

Anastagia Pierre was named the new Top Model of The Bahamas! If nothing more, 22-year-old Anastagia will represent her country in Top Model of the World 2012.

Yesterday, the Swimsuit Competition (fast track) took place in Abaco.
WINNER was 20-year-old Daronique Young. She was scored a 29.6.
1st Runner-up was 22-year-old Anastagia Pierre with a score of 29.5
2nd Runner-up was Brooke Sherman.
