The first contestants who will participate in the Miss Universe Canada 2013 competition have been chosen. Meet the top 8 winners of the 1st GTA Ontario Preliminary, who will advance to the national finals. The winner of the national pageant will compete in the Miss Universe 2013 competition.

The 60 finalists vying for the title have now been revealed on the MUC website at www.beautiesofcanada.com. Personally, I think it is a rather weak batch, but there are some great contenders like Riza Santos (MWC 2011 & MEC 2006), Denise Garrido (MWC2010 & MEC 2008), Sarah Harrison (top12 in 2012) and Ashley Callingbull (2nd runner up in 2010). Overall, I do think its Ashley's to lose. Lets meet the 60 contestants that will battle it out on May 25th to become Miss Universe Canada 2013 and succede to Sahar Biniaz, MUC 2012:

Im still loving Ashley Callingbull and Sarah Harrison.Im liking more and more Diana Martin, Rita and Siera Bearchell. Personally, I dont care for Denise Garrido and Riza Santos. Tonight is the preliminary competition and we will find out who the first 5 semifinalists will be...and the remaining 15 semifinalists will be chosen by the judges tonight as well.Only 2 more days before we have a new Miss Universe Canada.
