I hope its not in Vegas, but I wouldn't be surprised it ends up there once again. MUO better start looking now for a venue and they must lower the hosting fees...no country or city will be willing to spend 16 million dollars just to host a damn pageant like MU.

Miss World is on Septmber 28th, so probably pageant activities will officially kick off in the end of August/first week of September! I wish Miss Universe got back to July at last! As much as i love Olivia and would like her to have a pretty long year, Miss Universe pageant needs to be broadcasted in summer time once again!!

Hm, I've never seen August. Before was unofficially September 14th like still on our portal. For about 3 weeks there is an info that it will be held on September 28th.

Seems we will have a late finale of Miss Universe this year again.
Swedish organizator says finale will be in December and not August-therefore Miss Universe Sweden will be elected Aug 31st. What´s your opinion? Should the pageant take place in spring like golden days or summer or as of now in christmastime? What do YOU think? eja

Although I enjoyed the Christmas-themed show, I prefer Miss Universe to be held during the summer.

I don't care about the time, although I prefer it to be held in the summer, I definitely care about the venue and the activities. I don't want Las Vegas anymore and I want the girls to do great activities like they used to do (great fashion shows, sightseeing, amusement park, etc) as opposed to lame "fashion show" in hotel lobbies, chicken wing eating contest, and lemonade stand!

China would be awesome but the show would have to be held early in the morning in order to accommodate US viewers so they can watch it live at 9PM East Coast time which definitely sucks for the host country, locals and tourists that want to attend the show. PR and Panama would be great hosts too but I'm surprised to see Panama up there since the government turned down that possibility in 2011 right after MU 2011 was held.
I remember reading in last November/December about Guatemala wanting to host in 2013,which could definitely be a great place too.
