But there is more to beauty pageants then just the face!!
I don't like our new Miss Universe, but I can't deny that she didn't rock the stage better than some other girls.

Well said...and also whats fair about Europe being ignored year in year out..I find it extremely hard to believe that Venezuela is the ONLY girl who consistently leaves an impression on the MU judges...I know that their beauty industry there in Venezuela is worth heaps of money...I also heard that they pay higher franchise fees and thus have to be prioritised during the competition because of this..I also agree with Kleftokotou something is running so deep in all of this hat the truth will never see the light of day!!!

For me she did, and I thought that she might not make it. But I put her on my predictions cause she was such a fan favourite.
To me there was nothing in her performance. It was blah, it was not good. And that dress killed her. I'm sorry, it did.
Yeah, I know it doesn't matter if you have high fashion. But if you kill your chanches with a sweet 16 dress that looks like selfmade, it's baaad.
I'm sorry, I liked Paulina, but I became sceptic after the prelims. She just didn't have that aura that I was looking for.

I think that European Directors should complain about it at the MU org! It's like a joke amazingly beautiful, well-educated girls being ignored every single year! I am tired of the commom excuse about the trained Latinas, D.R. catwalk was so funny, the Philippines moved her shoulders so much I though that an insect was annoying her!!! I think that Donald just can't get over the fact that Oxana resigned!

Wasn't it because they run out of time.
The end credit were already rolling when Venezuela and Spain were still rolling. How embarrasing for Russia, but not suprising. I was there in Moscow 2009 for Eurovision and it was a mess them trying to put together a live show.

That's 3 years in goodness knows how many years..I am not saying they have to make the finals I am just saying that they have to be placed higher than girls who don't pay such high fees...obviously those 3 years they must have received below average scores and couldn't break into finals..but I know of another 80 countries who would like to have the record that Venezuela has had both in final entries and winnings!!!!

back then they claim that she was pregnant and Oxana released this statement

But maybe they just ARE that good and proffesional and girls who judges take notice. Laughing

Like everyone already expects that Venezuela is bringing something great to the stage, so the judges even look at them differently.
They have like higher expectations of girls from Venezuela and they they just out of respect mark them high.

Not saying she neglected all her duties, but she did run back to Russia several times and Trump had to call in for Shauntay to do Miss Universe jobs, that Oxana failed to do.
