Former MISS PERU UNIVERSE 1953 MARY ANN SARMIENTO,

Known as the "bride of Peru", the woman who adorned with its beauty the most important magazines of that then married fishing tycoon Rafael Graña, 17 years older than her and he had three children. Her only marriage lasted 7 years.
Her public life beginning in 1953, when she had won the national title, to compete at the Miss Peru contest held in Lima. After winning, she went to Long Beach, California, and she became eigth runner-up in the MISS UNIVERSE pageant won by France's Christiane Magnani.
She appeared in a Peruvian movie in 1977.
