Miss Colombia Vanessa Mendoza - so wasted beauty! What went wrong that year?
And the Ruth Ocumarez award started in 2002
And for the first time in the history of Miss Universe - the winner was dethroned
Oxana Fedorova of Russia
The Top 10
Albania, Russia, South Africa, India, Germany, Cyprus, Canada, Panama, China, Venezuela
I love to see Demetra Eleftheriou of Cyprus in the Top 10! And I think this is the first time Cyprus place in the SF?
No Sash Factor for USA & Host Factor for Puerto Rico
but the debut countries Albania & China placed
Germany should be in the Top 5!! - This is the last placement of Germany so far
And again we didn't place this year. Our representative is one of the most hated Miss Philippines - because of her looks but for me she represented well our country

It's been 14 years, not that bad, Poland was waiting 23 years for the semi-finalist spot

Miss Yugoslavia (Serbia) that year was gorgeous, one of the best, she was ignored in MU, but she placed in 2nd or 3th place in ME, same year.
