65th Miss Universe:

PRELIMINARY SHOW TICKETS ARE OUT! According to our source, tickets are available mainly for international patrons but locals may try to avail of the tickets through foreigner friends. A ticket request e-mail may be sent to SM Ticket promoter before proceeding to SM MoA Arena for payment and claiming.

Ticket prices are reflected in the graphic.

The latest from Manila!

-The Prelims will be on Thursday at 7 pm Manila time (6:00 am NY time), to be streamed live on Missuniverse.com

-There is a national costume "show" scheduled on the 28th but apparently it is nothing else than the pre-taping for the opening. It has not been said if there will be a competition per se.

-The parade of nations will fill the first 30 minutes of the show; the contestants will be introduced in 6 different groups and the announcer will mention all of their achievements (sort of like Miss USA 1998 opening), each contestant gets 15 seconds instead of the usual 5.

-Tickets for the final show are no longer available, the event is completely sold out

-Dayanara Torres ,Sushmita Sen and Riyo Mori will be judges during final night. However announcement on Judges is not clear as the miss universe website deleted the 'judges' tab.

-It was revealed that Manila will also host the 66th edition of Miss Universe to be held in November of this year.

-There is lobbying from Panama to host the pageant in 2018, but the Government is not supporting as the country is going through a crisis and is also hosting World Youth Day with the Pope in 2019. Indonesia is also bidding to host the pageant in Bali.

-No official pictures - fans were complaining about the lack of official swimsuit and gown photos (but 2015 didnt have them either). Most are not aware that Fadil is no longer with the org. It is interesting that there were no glamshots at all.

The national costume show will take place tomorrow after the preliminary competition!

There were official photos in 2015. Headshots, swimsuits and gown. And also Fadil's last glamshots.

I got this info from a friend. Yes the National Costume will be tomorrow I heard about it as well. And for Fadil? I can't remember if he is the onw who took the glamshot in 2015
