With this information, it is confirmed that next year two editions will be held, the 71st and the 72nd. It should be noted that in the 72nd edition, the new rules of the contest come into force in which pregnant women, mothers, married or divorced women can participate. of the contest.
Although the venue has not been confirmed, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami and Vietnam are ringing for the 71 edition.
It should be noted that Miss Universe will hold two editions in 2023, the 71st edition during the first quarter of 2023 and the 72nd, at the end of next year.

Jorge Pérez, regional director of ASM Global, had told EL VOCERO that Miss Universe has a separate date at the Puerto Rico Coliseum in 2023.
“It has not yet been formalized, but I understand that the intention of the organization is to have the contest in Puerto Rico and us as a destination, just as it was with Miss World. We understand that it is an opportunity to continue projecting Puerto Rico to the world,” Pérez told EL VOCERO.

If the contest is held on the Island, it would be the fourth time that Miss Universe has been held in Puerto Rico. The first occasion was in 1972. Then in 2001, the most remembered by Puerto Ricans since Denise Quiñones achieved the fourth universal crown for the Island at the Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum, in Bayamón.
