This photo was published on 16^th July, four days before the final night. An estimated 500,000 persons turned out Sunday to watch the Miss Universe contestants parade down Ocean Bulevard in Long Beach to officially open the weeklong festivities to choose Miss Universe Friday night. In foreground is Miss Welcome Long Beach, Sibyl Smith, followed by Miss Arizona, Maija Bertulson. Today the contestants will visit Universal-International movie studios.
