The first two girls to take titles in the Miss Universe contest at Long Beach, Califirnia, hold their trophies after their selection. They are Miss Germany, Marina Orschel (left), 19, who won the “Miss Photogenic” title, and Miss Iowa, Carol Morris (right), 20, who was names “Most Popular Girl in the Beauty Parade.”
