This photo was published on 22^nd July, two days after the final night. The new Miss Universe, Miss U.S.A., Carol Morris, wears the crown of pearls and ermine cape emblematic of her reign. She is the second American girl to win in the five years of the pageant. The first was Miriam Stevenson in 1954.
