"My proudest achievement is opening my own business and being a role model in Hawaiian communities. My mom and I started a dessert company (@sunbeamscreamery) during the pandemic as a way to bring our family together and to raise funds for our hula school (@kekaiokahiki). By being a business owner and a hula teacher, I’m able to offer our students opportunities to develop valuable work skills and learn about Hawaiian culture. Family, self-sustainability, and culture are very important to me. This is a message I want to share with the youth: stay close to your loved ones, work hard, and remember where you come from."
