This photo was published on 21^st July, two days after the final night. Miss Peru, Gladys Zender, Miss Universe 1957, dances with air cadet Glennon Woods, Pensacola naval air station, Florida, at last night’s coronation ball which climaxed the week-long beauty pageant at Long Beach, California. Gladys had learned a few hours earlier that she could retain the Miss Universe title even though she was underage.
