I just can not understand this...Sona was amazing, also during their stay in China, but also tonight during the live streaming...Can anyone tell me what kind of girls shud we send there then?? I am sorry, but Miss Finland?? What is she doing there?? Miss Dominican Republic?? Very weak delegate, too... I just can not understand this...

I feel for you Tomino, Sona is of course very Miss International-ish. DR and Cuba are total WTF for me. Cuba is for politics of course, since it is the first time they join Miss International.

While Finland, I think she is gorgeous.

Dominican Republic deserves to be in the top, she worked very hard and looked on point every single time.

Mexico is pretty, but I heard - very unfriendly.

The most extrange of all is that Mexico crown Spain in 2008 and now Spain crown Mexico this year

Im shocked/pissed that Slovakia didn't make it. I really hope that Sona will try for Miss Universe Slovak Republic...this girl is MU material big time!!!

As for the results, good choice with Mexico, however I would have preferred either Venezuela, Slovakia, India or Tanzania as the winner. Again, Korea made it despite being one of the plainest constestant. Im happy for Canada because the last time we made it was in 2000 and Chanel was a good contestant, however, I would replace her anytime with Sona. Im also surprised that Colombia didn't make it...Colombia pretty much always makes the cut. Again, Im shocked/upset that black beauties, especially African beauties were again ignored this year. Beauty comes in all races and shapes...hopefully, Miss International will apply that next time.

Big time, the top3 was a big joke, with the exception of the winner...I mean, she clearly is a beautiful girl and strong competitor...her stint at Miss World was amazing. Korea...again, a big joke...she's no Honey Lee and she's not even cute like the other korean girl who placed 1st runner up in 2000...that girl was very pretty. As for UK, well, she is pretty, but forgettable. Venezuela, Spain, Brazil, Slovakia (had she placed) could have all taken the 1st and 2nd runner up positions. Again, I don't get it. I don't understand why Slovakia never makes it but Czech Republic makes it in general. You guys send equally beautiful ladies....I don't understand why one is discarded all the time.

PS: Im not here to start a fight between Czech and Slovak republics. I just want to say that Ive noticed that Czech Rep makes it more often than Slovakia...perhaps, they are better prepared...but beautywise, the two always send gorgeous gals

I agree with you regarding the validity of it, but still, I believe they shouldn't spend any money on this pageant. Miss International has a record of ignoring black beauties. The pageant was created in 1960 and it took 44 years for them to have a black winner...as compared to Miss World which had its 1st black winner in 1970 and MU iin 1977. No african nation has ever won the pageant despite being around for almost 50 years now....African nations have sent some amazing girls in the past. Honestly, this pageant needs to broaden its idea/concept of beauty and include diversity. Its ok when in one particular year, there is no african, or asian or european or latina, etc...its ok, it doesn't mean the pageant is racist for that, but clearly, africans have never fared well in this pageant....there might be a reason for that...maybe not racism, maybe racism...but the point remains that africans are most of the time ignored in this pageant...why spend money and prep a girl when you know that she doesn't stand a damn chance.

and i agree with canuck. slovakia should try out for MUSR... she has this flirty/sexy/spunky look on her that would be a hit in MU.
