I hope she remains...Otherwise,i think that if she will officially withdraw,the 1st runner up at Miss Nebraska Usa 2010 as soon as possible will be sent to Las Vegas.. I still can't believe it!

The MU Organization has released a statement regarding Miss Nebraska's family matter...Here it is (from Miss USA website):

Statement from Paula M. Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization, regarding Miss Nebraska USA:

“Belinda flew home to be with her family and loved ones during a tragic time. We are heartbroken for her loss, but inspired by her strength and spirit.

Sadly, the show must go on and the 50 contestants who remain in Las Vegas are more committed to making this a show that will make Belinda proud. Although she is not physically here, her presence remains.

Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with her during this difficult time."

It doesn't technically say if she has withdrawn or not, but it does say that she flew home to be with her family...maybe she will miss a few days and come back for prelims next week??

Dad of Miss Nebraska USA killed in farm accident

SCOTIA, Neb. (AP) - The father of Miss Nebraska USA has been killed in a farm accident about a week before her appearance in the national pageant.

Greeley County sheriff David Weeks says 55-year-old Harry Wright died Friday night when his skid steer ran into him, pinning him. Wright had been fixing fences on his land in Scotia when the accident happened.

Wright's daughter, Belinda Wright, was in Las Vegas in anticipation of the Miss USA pageant on May 16.

Her grandmother, Darlene Jensen, says she came back to Nebraska Saturday afternoon. She didn't know whether her granddaughter would still compete, although her family is encouraging her to do so.

Here again it doesn't say anything about her competing or not. I guess we have to wait and see what happens.

Greeley County Sheriff David Weeks said Harry Wright, 55, was killed when his John Deere skid steer ran into and pinned him.

Weeks said Wright was fixing fences on his property in Scotia -- a small town about an hour north of Grand Island -- when the accident happened around 8:30 Friday night.

Weeks said Wright's wife Crystal had also been in the field but returned home earlier. When her husband didn't follow suit, as he said he would, Crystal went back to the field where she found her husband.

According to Weeks, Wright died on the scene.

Belinda had been in Las Vegas, preparing for the upcoming Miss USA pageant on May 16. She returned to Scotia Saturday afternoon.

Belinda said her dad loved farming, being outside with his animals and listening to oldies music; The Temptations and Jackson 5 were among his favorites. Within five minutes of conversation with him, Belinda said you'd know his heart was "made of gold".

The 21-year-old has decided she will return to Vegas to compete in the Miss USA competition.

"I'm dedicating the entire event to my father. He was so proud and so excited to go watch," Belinda wrote via email.

Funeral services are pending.

i hope to see all three of them in top 15. Im not sure on Kansas interview though, but i still hope for all three of them.Washington for me is a nice surpirise.
