Lady Mina has just been crowned Miss Ecuador 2010 and will represent her country in MU 2010. She is 23 years old, 1.70m, and hails from the province of Guayas

SHe is the third Miss Ecuador of color..the 1st one was Monica Chala in 1996 and the other one was Soraya Hogonaga in 1998.

Maybe a trend that someone mentioned at another forum.
I think both Andrea and Ana would do better in Miss Universe.

No top 15 for me...

Andrea or Anna galarza would´ve been better choices.

I watched the pageant online and she did a great job and deserves her title...however my choice for MU would have been Andrea Suarez...
The Question and Answer round was decisive...again some great questions that would seal the deal and others that were just ok...just like in Miss Venezuela and Miss USA...there are always questions that will really seal the deal for the girl who gets it and others that will be ok, or controversial (gay marriage one).In the final round, her question was how she would describe Ecuador in one word...and she replied "Excelencia"...its excellence/exquisiteness.....and she elaborated on it talking about the people, the landscape etc and she finished by saying that even tho its a small country, its big on the global scene because of its excellence in its people,etc...so, really, with that answer, she would for sure get the audience on her side.

I don't know what she is wearing but gosh, thats awful...such a pretty lady, but totally overshadowed by this gown....seriously, fashion is not Ecuador's forte.

She can't be compared to Miss Nicaragua. She's very feminine. I love her bubbly personality and charm.

You're right.....she is very feminine actually the photo above is nice....but to me she looks like a regular attractive black girl...kinda plain!...she is pretty....and better looking than Nicaragua but not by far...
