Denise Perrier born was in 1935 is a French model and actress. Miss World 1953, the third annual Miss World pageant, was held on October 19, 1953 at Lyceum Theatre, London, United Kingdom. 15 contestants competed for the Miss World title. The winner was Denise Perrier, who represented France.

Denise Perrier was the third person to be chosen as Miss World in 1953, representing France; the same year that France also won the Miss Universe pageant by Christiane Martel.

Denise Perrier went on to enjoy global recognition as a model and international fund-raiser, before returning to catwalk and photographic modeling. She also worked in TV and cinema and featured in the Bond film ‘Diamonds are Forever’ where she starred in a memorable scene in which Sean Connery starts to ‘throttle’ her with her own swimsuit until she gives away the location of the villain.

Perrier has also acted in films. Her most memorable scene is an uncredited appearance in the 1971 James Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever. In the scene, after a little persuasion from James Bond, who starts throttling her with the top of her bikini, she gives up and reveals the location of the villain of the film.

After leaving her modelling career, Perrier became active in local government in her native France. She was one of the judges at the 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2013 Miss World contests.
