Time was when only single ladies are allowed to join beauty pageants to bask in admiration and prestige of being a Filipina beauty queen.

Not anymore. With the Mrs. Globe beauty pageant now in the Philippines, married Filipinas who posses that rare combination of beauty and substance now have the chance to be named Mrs Philippines-Globe and be hailed as the country’s most beautiful lady.

One of the biggest international beauty pageants for married women, Mrs. Philippines-Globe seeks to honor and salute all married Filipinas. Its aim is to make them realize that they are a vital part of the society and are worth so much more than they believe. The pageant also recognizes that these misses’ achievements, charitable acts and stories can serve as an inspiration to others.

For its first-ever Philippine search, Mrs. Philippines-Globe has explored the entire country and came up with 15 gorgeous finalists. They are Rochelle Angeles, Beth Cruz, Pinky Siva, Stephanie Malibiran, Angel Co, Joycelyn Agsaway, Jinky Baldoza, Patricia Cardel, Ma. Micaela Isabel Malupa, Ruby Liboon, Olivia David, Lailani Llanto, Ma. Fe Garchitorena, Kimberly Dela Cruz, and Margie Atienza.

“We’re very happy and excited because this is the first time that this prestigious pageant is coming to the Philippines and we’re lucky to have gathered an impressive lineup of very gorgeous and talented candidates. This is a truly a great opportunity for these ladies to share their achievements and stories. Like the international pageant, we hope that this year’s Mrs. Philippines-Globe will be an inspiration to other married women on how they can use their beauty and talents to contribute to society.” said National Pageant Director Morena Carla Cabrera-Quimpo.

The fifteen Mrs. Philippines-Globe finalists will compete for the most coveted crown during the pageant night set on July 7, 2012 at the Harbour Garden Tent, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. They will also get a chance to win special awards such as Mrs. Friendship, People’s Choice Award, Most Beautiful Face, Mrs. Body Beautiful, Most Elegant Woman and Woman of Substance Award.

To help choose the winners of this prestigious pageant are Mrs. Malaysia-Globe 2011 Melinda Yap and Mrs. Singapore-Globe 2011 Melinda Chong, who will join the panel of judges.

The most elegant and glamorous finalist will be crowned as the first ever Mrs. Philippines-Globe 2012. Not only will she win up to 700,000 pesos worth of prizes, she will also represent the Philippines in the Mrs. Globe World Finals on August 11-19, 2012 in Rancho Mirage, California, USA.

More than just a celebration of beauty, Mrs. Globe in the US is a fund-raising project of The Women In Need Foundation to advocate women empowerment. Its cause is to help abused women and children recover their self-esteem. The pageant emphasizes that women have the right to be heard, loved and respected.

Former Beauty Queen's Niece Crowned Mrs. Globe Philippines 2012

Joycelyn Agsaway was proclaimed the first ever search for Mrs. Globe Philippines. The hotelier bested 14 other hopefuls in a glittering finals night held at the posh Harbor Garden Tent at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Pasay City.

"Aside from being the tallest from the group, I can proudly say that I am a good mother to my children, a loving wife to my husband, a good daughter to my parents, successful in my chosen career and above all have faith and God fearing." is Joycelyn resly to the question from one of the celebrity judges regarding her edge with the other candidates.

She took home over P700,000 in prizes. Joceycelyn is a first degree niece of former beauty queen and movie actress Evangeline Pascual.

Special title of "Woman of Substance "Award was given to Pinky Siva, a Director of Recruitment Services and a philanthropist. First runner up went to Micaela Isabel Malupa, a professional model and former candidate of Bb. Pilipinas and Mutya Ng Pilipinas beauty pageant, 2nd runner up honor was awarded to Patricia Cardel, a commecial model.

Special awardees are Lailani llanto - Mrs. Friendship, Margie Atienza - Peoples Choice Award, Angel Co - Ms. Body beautiful and Sthepanie Magali Malibiran - Most Beautiful Face. The pageant, one of the most prestigious for married women was hosted by Steve Patrick Moore and graced by some gorgeous married Filipina who served as judges are model and host of Project Runway Season 3 Tweety de Leon Gonzales, Mrs. World Philippines 2008 Eimee Edralin Cragun, beauty queen Patty Betita and model Olen Lim.

The pageant was also attended by National Pageant Director Morena Carla Cabrera-Quimpo together with Mrs. Malaysia Globe 2011 Melinda yap and Mrs. Singapore Globe 2011 Melinda Chong. Jocelyn will represent the country in the Mrs. Globe World Finals on August 11-19, 2012 in Rancho Mirage, California USA. The show was directed by Ogee Atos.
