Shilpa Singh is the new Miss Universe India as she will represent India at the Miss Universe Pageant which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas on 19th December 2012

I Am She 2012 Urvashi Rautela (Miss Universe India) has been dethroned, she yesterday handed over the baton to her runner-up Shilpa Singh. It's now Shilpa who will compete and represent India at the Miss Universe 2012 Pageant to be staged in Las Vegas on the 19th of December!

I can't believe and don't know what is happening. Urvashi is a goddess. India has wasted a beautiful goddess and a chance in MU.

MUO didn't accept her because she wasn't 18 till 1 st February 2012

Why do countries keep on crowning girls they know are too young or sometimes too old? I get surprised every time!

That is harsh to dethrone her just because MUO didn't accept her. She should have remained Miss India and they could still have sent the 1st runner up to Miss Universe. I wonder if MUO specifically instructed her to be dethroned?

We would like to announce Urvashi Rautela’s relinquishment of her title “I am She – Miss Universe India 2012″ to Shilpa Singh, who was crowned “I am She – Miss Globe International 2012″.

Shilpa Singh will now represent India at the Miss Universe Pageant to be held in Las Vegas in December. The afore stated relinquishment is due to Urvashi’s contradicting contracts as the winner and titleholder of the pageant “Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International”, a fact which she unfortunately overlooked during her participation on I am She 2012.

Urvashi further acknowledges and agrees that she did not confirm the minimum age criteria as required under the I am She pageant as well as the Miss Universe pageant.
The winners of I AM She 2012 pageant are the lovely Shilpa Singh I AM She Miss Universe India 2012, Arlette Garo I AM She Miss India Globe International2012, & Dipna Patel I AM She Miss Asia Pacific World 2012.
