The Pedruco Sisters: Miss Macau's legend

The Pedruco Sisters is a family of 4 sisters who have competed at the Miss Chinese International pageant and Miss World pageant representing Macau. They are the only family of 3 or more sisters to compete at Miss World and Miss Chinese International and they are in the Guinness Book of Records. As of today, this record has not been broken. These four sisters are (from oldest to youngest): Guilhermina Madeira da Silva Pedruco (born 1969), Geraldina Madeira da Silva Pedruco (born 1971), Isabela Madeira da Silva Pedruco (born 1973), and Guiomar Madeira da Silva Pedruco (born 1974).

Trivia:

*Aside from competing in Miss World, three of them also competed in Miss Chinese International. They are Guilhermina (1989), Geraldina (1996) & Guiomar (1997).

*Among the sisters, the eldest sister Guilhermina or "Mina" is the most successful among her sisters. She won 2nd runner-up in Miss Chinese International 1989. Following her success is the youngest sister Guiomar, in which she actually made it to the top 5 in Miss Chinese International 1997. Such a coincidence.

*Surprisingly, only Isabela did not compete in Miss Chinese International (which was produced by TVB in Hongkong).

*The sisters with our Philippine counterparts during Miss World:
1989 - Guilhermina Madeira da Silva Pedruco = Estrella Singson Querubin

1993 - Isabela Madeira da Silva Pedruco = Sharmaine Ruffa Gutierrez

1995 - Geraldina Madeira da Silva Pedruco = Reham Snow Tago

1996 - Guiomar Madeira da Silva Pedruco = Daisy Garcia Reyes

*Isabela & Guiomar's batchmates, Ruffa Gutierrez & Daisy Reyes respectively, now becomes successful actresses & celebrities.

*#3 - Candidate number of both Isabela & Guiomar during their Miss Macau days.

*#2 - Candidate number of both Guilhermina & Guiomar during their Miss Chinese International days.

*Miss Lithuania - The candidate before Isabela(1993), Geraldina(1995) & Guiomar(1996) during their Miss World days.

*Miss Malaysia - The candidate after Guilhermina (1989), Isabela (1993) & Geraldina (1995) during their Miss World days.

*19 - Guilhermina has the youngest age among the sisters during the time when she joined Miss Macau.

*24 - Geraldina has the oldest age among the sisters during the time when she joined Miss Macau.

*Chen Ji-min - She is between Isabela & Geraldina. Isabela crowned Chen Ji-min in 1994; while a year after, Chen Ji-min crowned Geraldina. Coincidence...

*7 - The gap between Guilhermina & Guiomar when they joined Miss Macau; the same number gap between Kathleen Mary & Sarah Therese Craig from the Isle of Man.
