Difficult to get excited about Miss Universe anymore with Puerto Rico, Venezuela and to a lesser extent USA rotating the crown around. At least when USA wins now, many years have passed between the last winner. In the 50s and 90s USA was winning like Venezuela wins now. Oh well, fingers crossed for a new country to win this year--whether our hotpicks send any vibes into the universe or not, LOL! sunny

Maybe. I'm not too proud of it, though

However, I don't care too much if Miss Universe comes from PR, Venezuela or USA as long as she's deserving. This year - although I like the Miss Universe winner - I thought someone else was more deserving. Spain wasn't my fav either, but I thought she was the prettier contestant.

And another thing: I kinda develop some sympathy for the most "bashed" or sometimes underrated contestants. This forum is not very latina friendly, maybe that's the reason why I have started to support them lately...

I didn't like Brazil in 2011, but I did like the girls Brazil sent in 2012 and 2013. If Brazil has a stunning delegate this year, I would love to see them win, especially since the last time they won was in 1968!
