The Miss Korea Org. has a new license and franchise so, they might choose a new queen for Miss Universe 2016 and Lee Min-Ji might not go to the pageant.

Min-ji Lee, Miss Korea 2015 will not compete at Miss Universe 2016 pageant after Hanju E&M company the organizers of Miss Korea pageant lost the franchise for Miss Universe in Korea to Park Jeong-ah will now select the new representative through Miss Universe Korea pageant to be held in October. Coincidently Park Jeong-ah also holds the franchise for Miss World in Korea.
