Maybe all international pageants should be now only between Venezuela and Philippines, sorry to my friends (nothing personal) but I am sick and tired of seeing the same winners, had to get it out of my system.
That's why I do not follow Miss Earth anymore (and one of the reasons that PR stopped sending delegates to Miss Earth since 2014) that this year probably in the top 4 we will see Philippines and Venezuela again or maybe even winning. Rolling Eyes

I don't wanna take anything away from the winner or Philippines. Clearly you guys are doing something right!!
And congrats to everyone from The Philippines, but in the BIG4 pageant lately....

As someone who watches these pageants, this is SO BORING. It's not exciting anymore to watch.
Like enough already! We need new countries to win, we need EUROPE to win something, please!!

And I'm not saying this because I would be upset that Finland didn't make the TOP5. (as I'm sure someone would probably think)
I'm not. I'm really proud of Emilia and that she was top15. And I can see that her finalspeech wasn't as strong as I would have liked it to be.
But I'm happy for her. She represented with poise and grace throughout the pageant. As did so many others too. And yet again..... Same old, same old. I just don't have the energy anymore to get excited for other delegates, when everytime the same countries keep winning these major titles.

WE NEED SOMETHING NEW!!! WE NEED A CHANGE!!!!

Even in the risk of sounding like a whiner, a sore loser and bitter, I have to just add that you guys have no idea how frustrating it is to be a european pageant fan these days. This can't be explained that Asians and Latinas just come to these pageant more prepared.

There, I said it. I let it out of my system. Go ahead and call me a sore loser. I don't care!!!
I just can't with these pageants anymore.

It is not being bitter, is the fact that many people (like me) are losing interest in beauty pageants, because we do not see new and also deserving countries winning (like you said of european girls)

Can't agree more with you both. I was very enthusiastic about MI, there were so many stunners, such a high level of beauty but in the end the top 5 is very weak and the winner is Philippines for the 19483th time. Duh! Sleep

Kylie is ok, at least she's way better than scary Bea Santiago but I'm really tired of seeing the same all over again.

Before 2010 when Venus raj put back the Philippines in the Pageant arena, we were also that desperate, bitter and sour loser when we knew we did not place in any beauty pageant. Its frustrating that while watching while watching M.s universe 2009, i even skipped my college class to watch, i knew my country will not penetrate the semifinals and i expect a latina will win.But the struggle is real that the preceding years, pageant aficionados of my country had devoted their time, effort and sacrificing their career in the quest that sumday we can at least place in finals or maybe runners ups if not the crowns.

Thats why i feel you, members of this blog. I am happy with our new crown.But i am aspiring that sumday a very diverse of winners will win any of international pageant,i hope they are also that devoted in nurturing their respective country women to strive and become a beauty queen.

Diversity is beauty.

I feel you guys. I been following International Pageant since 1999 and I been broken hearted for at least 1 decade as our representative always clap and always latinas wins.

We have so many wasted beauties in the past like

Nina Ricci Alagao, Maricar Balagtas, Margaret Wilson, Mary Ann Umali to name a few, all of them clap where I believe they deserve a placement.

But we never give up. I still keep following all Grand slam or even minor International pageants and keep supporting our delegates even I know we have less chance (I keep hoping and praying we will place). Not until 2010 when we are back in the limelight. We've learned, our girls are more prepared and trained well this time and we already mastered the formula in winning a crown.

For me I am ok now since I already witness my country winning Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational.

And yes I agree, I want to see new countries being crowned as well, it happened already in Miss Grand International. I don't think we will win or even place in Miss Earth 2016 since our representative has an attitude problem. And I don't think we will win in Miss Universe as well even we are the host country. I only expecting a second crown in Miss World .

So Don't give up as well guys
