Miss Puerto Rico 1977 (Universe) at that time it was only Miss PR with National Director the late Ms. Anna Santisteban, she represented the island in Miss Universe 1977 held in Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep.
She did not place, she was very beautiful, but many people that knew her said that she had attitude problems (very arrogant), maybe that's one of the reason that she did not enter into the semifinals. Maria Del Mar has been retired for many years and we do not know anything about her private life.
