The pageant is two hours per the FOX network schedule. I did find the pageant time schedule:

7:00 to 7:03 - introduction of contestants
7:03 - 7:15 - host and judge introductions

7:35 - 7:48 - Shreveport-Bossier highlights

8:26 - 8:29 - Top 10 announced and immediately do evening gown walk

8:38 - 8:40 - Final Question
8:40 - 8:47 - recognition of dignitaries

9:00 - crowning of Miss USA 2018 and roll credits

Nearly 30 minutes to introduce the top 16--they need to go back to the old format. Drawing it out with the boring stories takes away the suspense when the girls are called. And only 3-4 minutes for swimsuit and evening gown? BORING!

The source is from US Board group where I am a member. Lets see if this is true but the Top 16 is better for me

I guess being short for a beauty pageant it is now a trend, that won't affect. Just look at MU 2017.
