I know this is a little late, but Miss Universe 2008 (the 57th beauty pageant) takes place tonight in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The final presentation show was on July 8, the dress rehearsal on July 13 and the live telecast on July 14. Most activities were held successively in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Hoi An, Ha Long and finally Nha Trang. Please check your local TV listings.

Our representative for Vietnam this year is Nguyễn Thùy Lâm, born September 10, 1987, in Thái Bình, Việt Nam. She is a Vietnamese singer, actress and was the winner of the Miss Vietnam 2008 contest on May 31, 2008. Nguyễn Thùy Lâm will represent Vietnam in the Miss Universe 2008 competition held in her homeland at Vinpearl Land in Nha Trang.

i like her a lot, though i feel she should not have made the cut... weird isnt it? i like her for her beauty, and miss universe is not just about beauty

anyway its their first time for the spot so just give them the chance...only india and philippines didnt penetrate last year..im hoping this year
