This photo was published on 24^th July, one day after the final night. In this photo, 4 contestants of Miss Universe 1954 talked to the press about their disappointment. From left to right, Miss Thailand, Amora Asavananda, said “They didn’t like my country and the colour of my skin, either”. Miss Chile, Gloria Leguisos, felt happy for the second place of Miss Brazil, Marta Rocha. Then, she was almost playing dumb about the pageant and said “Wines from California are not good, it would be better to return to drink the delicious Chilean wines”. Miss Israel, Aviva Pe'er sobbing said “I feel very unhappy. I would have liked to bring the crown to my country”. Miss Hong Kong, Virginia June Lee, got the third place and maybe she was the only one who was satisfied of this group.
