Makalio Junior Alai is Mr World - Samoa 2019

The 20-year-old artist will compete at the 2019 Mr World finals to be held in August in the Philippines.

Makalio comes from a big family of 3 sisters, 7 brothers and 2 dogs and currently works as a builder and artist. Future ambitions involve becoming a business owner in scaffolding. Hobbies include rugby, volleyball, football and going to the gym with a special talent of fire knife dancing. The most extreme thing he has done is ride in a hot air balloon and would most like to work with a cancer foundation. Personal Motto: ‘What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.’
