FROM GLOBE TO UNIVERSE: Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018, MICHELE THERESA GUMABAO (@gumabaomichele) will try her luck on the pageant scene for the second time as she submits her application at Empire Studios in Taguig today for the very first Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

Michele, who stands 5'10", came from a family of actors. She is the daughter of actor turned politician, Dennis Roldan; the niece of actress, Isabel Rivas and the sister of Paolo and Marco Gumabao.

Michele graduated with a degree in Marketing Management at the De La Salle University in Manila which she was a consistent Dean's lister and now works as a professional volleyball player and a TV presenter for ABS-CBN Sports and Action

Michele began her foray into pageantry on 2018 when she was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Globe at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant and she had the chance to represent the country at the Miss Globe pageant in Albania where she finished as a Top 15 semifinalist.

Michele is an advocate of sports and she built a volleyball camp in 2012 which seeks to give children the potentially life-altering option of choosing volleyball as a passion.

FROM MUTYA TO UNIVERSE: Mutya Pilipinas Global Beauty Queen 2018, PAULINE AMELINCX (@paulineamelincx)

This 5'8" Filipino-Belgian beauty graduated with a degree in International Business at Cebu Doctors' University. She is now currently a blogger and a former tourism officer in Bohol.

Pauline became well-known in the pageant scene when she was crowned as Miss Bohol in 2017. In 2018, she joined the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant and was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Global Beauty Queen but she did not had the chance to represent the country as the organizers of the Miss Global Beauty Queen pageant announced that the pageant will not push through.
