This is the problem with public voting.
The same thing is apparently happening in Norway right now.
Some of the favourites among the semi-finalists have received very few votes on the web. While some of the other girls have received a lot - from friends and family.....

Anyhow, this year the viewers voted the winner for the first time since the beginning of Miss Suomi.
The 10 finalists have been touring the country for a month or so, doing fashion-shows and meeting the finnish people.
Essi was the top-girl along with Elsi trough the whole pageant, Elsi won Iltalehtis Readers choise award, but Essi won the public in the end. The jury choose the two runner-ups, to compete in Miss International etc.

Myself I hoped for Pauliina to win, she didn´t even make top 5(?!)
Nice evening-gowns, really nice!!! And the new crown was interesting.
The old one got stolen some months ago but was found at a drug dealer or something like that...
But they already designed the new one and stayed with that.

Not to many people in the audience as is usual in Miss Suomi but tomorrows newspapers will be filled with pictures-Finland still know how to apriciate their Miss Suomi!!

So two weeks ago I was at the semifinals and got the chance to meet with all the girls and also got to see few of the girls who didn't make it to the finals. This happened on friday and then on saturday there was the official photoshoot where it was interesting to watch some girls really work for the camera. Then others were a bit scared and hold back. But after watching them, my pick for the crown was clear

What a cat!! She was AMAZING!!

That is why I was a bit surprised whe reading some comments here where some of you said that Elsi came as a total surprise for you?!
WHAT? How can that be? Clearly she was the best working on different poses for the camera. Also her catwalk is miles ahead the others. :-107--:

Elsi and Essi was the favourites all the time to win Miss Finland.
Linda was not a crowd favourite, but she has a great personality and I'm sure she charmed the judges and that's why she got chosen 2nd ru.

I don't like this that the people got to chooce Miss Finland. What they saw on TV did not give the right picture. For crying out loud, there
wasn't even a real swimsuit round, which I'm really dissapointed about. How can you choose a winner if you don't judge the body as well
