PEPPER'S REVIEW OF MISS UNIVERSE 2009!: HERE ARE MY EARLY FAVOURITE AS OF THE MOMENT!
1. PUERTO RICO
One of the most hyped candidate of this year's edition of miss universe. I really dont like her personally but I cant ignored her evening gown competition where her catwalk skills are so fierce! Anyways, its been 2 years in a row since 2006 placed in the semi finalist,the big question is will she break the 2 yr drought? maybe,will see it on august!
2.CZECH REPUBLIC
OMG!!! I love Iveta!!!! From the the country where top models are born, no wonder she won miss ceska 2009. You cant ignore her towering height, and her hour glass figure, but sometimes she looks old in some pics. But anyhow, I would like to see her call as semi finalist!!
3.VENEZUELA
Stefania is my sentimental favorite this year! You cant deny that with the power of Osmel, she is one to beat, with the record of Venezuela in Miss Universe, i dont mind if she enter the semis or top 5. From the start, I dont like her at all, I prefer Sucre to win, but damage has done!!just kiddin!. Oh!!well! Venezuela is a powerhouse, right sabi? so dont underestimate her giraffe neck cause shes gonna be there in Bahamas to rock the stage out!
4.MEXICO
Another deadringer from Mexico!! I know Mexico wants their 2nd miss universe crown!!, but this year it aint gonna happen!! For sure, she will be in the top 15, no doubt about that, since Lupita train her girls so well that they create 5 year streak!! kudos to Lupita!!but sometimes Karla looks fat, but for sure shell be there!
5. SOUTH AFRICA
Shes mix indian and african, so exotic!!!Tatum looks very ethnic, But i doubt she will be called in Top 15. But for sure she will rock Miss World cause we all know that South Africa is hosting Miss World, and FIFA 2010 is coming, so Morley will have advantage of letting her win like China in 2007!
6.TURKEY
As everyone says she is a GODESS!!Begums facial feautures are just superior!!! Those eyes, lips, etc are just perfect. Hope she wont be wasted like Panama 2008, Greece and Spain 2007!!!. Hope she delivers well in every competition, looks aint gonna win here just like Riyo!!! oh well!!!Fierce is the word!! and i hope she is one!!! I love you Begum
7.LEBANON
I love her totally!!!!!! Her eaurasian facial features are just beautiful. But i doubt if she enters the semis. Rosarita is one of the dark horses this year!! and hoping that she knows the game in miss universe that is to be fierce. But anyway, i just commend her eurasian feautures and I havent seen her catwalk skills, so im not sure if she will be called!!
8.RUSSIA
No doubt, shes one beauty to beat! but there are more deserving russian girls to be in her place. Svetlana and Sofia should switch place if i had the power! Why? cause Svetlana is great on catwalk and Sofia is somehow sweet like Morley wants!!!! I just love her jet black hair and those eyes!!! ahhhhh!!! Wish her goodluck in Bahamas!!!!
9.COLOMBIA
From Senorita Colombia, shes not my bet at all, Choco is my all time sentimental favorite!! but we cant change it now,she is now Miss Colombia! I know she wants to grab attention by cutting her hair, and look fresh or old? you be the judge.... Michelle is really making her own mark!! Hope she can make more grabbing scenes in Bahamas!! Its really hard to follow like almost to win, Taliana, but i know thats the reason she is determined to be more than Taliana!!! Her country will have high expectation from her since Tali won first runner up!!!
10.INDONESIA
So far, the only Asian that has potentials.Her modelling experience and being an Elite contestant is a advantage to her! I would like to see Zivanna to be called in Top 15, its been in 2005 since they placed ,and a very newbie to pageants. Just for a change, hope she will be focus and be visible from other powerhouse country like Japan, India, Thailand and Philippines!Goodluck Zizi!!!!

nice review, for me Russia and Mexico are way to high.....and Belgium is way to low. but i agree with Puerto Rico,Cz R and the rest. Turkey for me is a huge Mystery...i cant say i like her, i cant say i dont....the fact we dont get many pics of hers does not help.

Miss Universe 2009 seems to be very weak. Actually, in this group of girls I can't find a girl I love. Not a single candidate who's "WOW" for me. I hope Sweden, USA, Norway e.c.t. can make the level of girls higher. I'm excited that will be a Miss Sweden in MU 2009!

As for now Switzerland is still my no 1, followed by Puerto Rico and Lebanon. Top 5 include Ukraine and Belgium. Top 10 in no particular order: Mexico, Ecuador, France, Israel and maybe Turkey, Nicaragua or Israel...
