Chanique Rabe - Miss Supranational 2021 had the honor of being invited to visit the Nena Sanchez Gallery. Nena Sanchez was #MissKorsou (#MissCuracao) in 1966. She went on to compete for the #missuniverse title and brought the #MissAmity (#MissCongeniality) tile back to #Curacao
Nena went on to have a successful career in interior design. Upon her return to the island, she took up her first love again - art. Inspired by the vibrance and bright colors of her island, her work has become legendary and can be seen all over the island.

Sadly, Nena passed away four years ago but her legacy is being kept alive by her sister Anna. "I miss her a lot but I feel like I get to see her every day," she told us. Thank you Anna for opening the gallery and your heart to us. We loved learning more about Nena and her incredible art work.
